I would'nt advise sanding through the gel coat, as this WILL reveal a pourous surface. | |

nah, it wont do that, fibreglass kits has a gel coating on them which makes them smooth etc.. just sand the shine off this then prime and paint as normal. | |

basically im gettin a ccm Karnage kit, but im told its very porus and the paint just soaks into it, does it need to be primed in anything special? would plasticote primer work?? | |

Is there anything you can do in the preparation stage as to stop a bodykit sucking up all the fcukin paint you offer it? like coating it in PVA i dunno if that would work just guessing really!:wave: |
