hi lads,
im currently changing my belt and rollers (1.4 16v sport) and need to know how to lock the timing gear and hence crankshaft ,so that i can take off the big pulley at the bottom (which drives alt etc) without turning the whole engine over?(yes, it in gear) so i can get access to the timing belt and rollers.

On my 8v mk3 astra 1.4, there was a small plate you removed that allowed you lock the starter and flywheel together using a screwdriver.

help the light is fading:(
