I did the same thing at first i was sensible about how many holes i drilled, but it didnt make much difference so i drilled it to buggery and it sounded better but not much difference performance wise, unless it was freezing outside. so i went for a pipercross induction kit and it made it a bit better at accelleration. but on a 1.2 what can you expect??!!!??

obviously you would coz you have more cold air flowing through, u might not feel a noticable difference but there would b one there in theory,

www.pvdnet.co.uk filters are £35 inc postage i fink. u dont need a cold air feed but one is prefered just place it infront of the holes leading from behind the light and ur sorted

Cheers, where could I get a PVD panel filter and how much will it cost?? Would I also need to attach cold air feeds to the underside of the air-box where the holes are drilled?

The panel filter goes inside the airbox and replaces the paper/foam item that Vauxhall use as standard. I am currently doing this myself.

I've fitted a K&N filter kit to my Corsa C 1.2 SXi last year but I'm not finding it's loud enough. Thinking of digging out the original airbox and drilling it to replace the K&N filter. Hopefully, this will make the engine sound louder and improve performance. |
