Best vfm is the Velos Torque tube, but if you can afford them, go for throttle bodies if your budget will allow. Save some money too for headwork/bottom-end re-build - there's no point having all these bolt on power increases if your block won't cope with the power!

I went to Perfect Touch but they are too pricy and when I said about velos torque tubes, tbs or mantzel powerbox they didnt want to know, kept trying to sell me NOS.

Dont touch dbollocks with a barge pole. go for a new inlet manifold from velos since this is the same as the mantzel item only not as pleasing to the eye. Another option is the lemaul inlet manifold.

the perfect touch in hoddesdon do engine tuning, last time i knew they were getting a 4wd rolling road installed, they specialise in performance and jap cars but can do anything, they defo know there stuff. put it this way, last time i went up there they had a load of evo rally cars and porsche race cars.

Throttle bodies will give you loads more power, but it'll cost you loads to get them. £2000 ish i think. The other inlet manifold option should be good for another 20 brake and range from £400 - £500 ish.

Need to get some more power from my 1.4 16v Sport, have been looking at several options, either the Velos Torque Tube, Mantzel PowerBox or Dbilas Throttle Bodies. Can anyone recommend any of these? :D |
