reiger rears r spose 2 go on post 97 bumpers so that they bond on to the line of the bumper ie: if uv got a standard post 97 front, uv got the colour coded bit then the black bit, the apron bonds on to the colourcoded bit of the bumper an joins up to the line between the colourd bit and the black bit, by the sounds of it uv got a pre 97 bumper which arent colour coded and hav a big ridge in the bumper, which isnt coverd ova wen the apron is bonded on, try lookin 4 steves old corsa as this is what his was like.

Well from what i've heard on this forum all corsas 3/5 door have the exact same bumpers and dimensions,so i don't think it is that.Maybe as i said before they sold me a 97- bumper. But i don't know if the pre and post97 bumpers have the same shape and size. How should i smooth it?Fibreglass?

No,but heres an example:

And believe me it has been properly fitted. The towing hook has been cut.The Rieger follows the shape of my bumper.Maybe they sold me a post97 Rieger extension?Any thoughts?

I have a 5 door '96 corsa and i got a Rieger rear.Thing is i got it form Greece and the guys at the shop told me that it was a '96 Rieger rear(wich should fit on a pre97 bumper).I took it to a local bodyshop to have it fitted and after a couple of days the guys at the bodyshop called me saying they have a problem.I went there and i saw the Rieger already fitted but there was a 1inch gap between the extension and the bumper.Don't know how to explain,i thought that it should've been a straight bond on,but there are two lines now.So whats the problem?Does it have to be smoothed in??Can it be done?and how?:o
Please reply.Thanks.
