The 1.2 8v is a single downpipe of 47mm, The SRi 8v jobbie, from a late spec Nova, Doubles the downpipe diameter to two outlets at 40mm each. 6-7bhp easy :)

Doesnt seem anything special, just a 4 into 1 manifold. Perhaps the bore is a little bigger due to the size of the inlet/exhaust.

quote: Total Vauxhall did a tuning guide for this engine a few months back, there car was 44bhp stock. They put on a Blydenstein B+ cylinder head, a cast iron Corsa Sri 8v exhaust manifold, a janspeed sports exhaust and a kent cams adjustable pulley. From that they got 57bhp @ 5500rpm. Torque went from 63 to 69 lbf.ft Doesnt say how much they spent tho. Could probly just swap the whole engine for not a lot more. :)

i cant remember who does the kit, but theres a nitrous system available with a variety of jets. Basically, you can get a big tank of nos, run it thru fine jets, and it just gives the same effect as driving a higher powered car. could be more hassle and expense than its worth for this engine...

I have got a 1.2 8v and i agree loads of flat spots  Are there any downsides to drilling your airbox?? what are the best mods for this crappy engine (besides an engine transplant although required).
