Nottingham 13th July - Car Electronics/Total Car Audio Magazine.

Not many really turned up, best car was the Audi A4 from Max (full of P.G and had the Audi Logo exhaust). I was hoping for more of an SQ orientated event but the just had an SPL mic there! Decided to get my SQ system metered. I was about the tenth car to go through, went in before my mate Kev and blew everyone away by being 8dB than them all LOL! Then Kev went through in his Vectra and beat me, I came second! These readings seem pretty low, I dont really understand why they are this low, anyone who's into SPL say's my car should be hitting near 140dB, but here's how we did...

Kev (Vecta) JL 13" W7 and two JL 10" W3's - 133.4dB

Me (Two 12" Type R's) - 132.8dB

Guy with the Audi A4 (SQ Pheonix system Łkk's spent) - 126.9dB

It was a laugh, realised that I dont need to spend anymore on the bass department in my SQ system! Tell you, you should of heard my altenator squeal in pain as the Sine Sweep was played! Must look at upgrading it in the near future. Look out for us in Total Car Audio mag with photo's of me VERY hungover and my dirty fly-catcher 5door corsa lol.
