on the diesel models there is a bit on the bottom wing side which unclips, its about 2 " by 5 " instead of drilling holes in it just remove it completely and run some cold air feeds into it.

There's a pipe on the lid, which air gets sucked into after passing through the filter, well there was a pipe on mine anyway. It starts wide but gets narrower as it goes along and gets nearer to the filter. I just pulled the pipe off n binned it. U probably aint gonna get any noticable performance gain, the best thing u can do is put a performance panel filter in. Dont ask me which one...

Restrictor pipe?

Just took it out again, and it sounds louder through second gear and in 5th gaining speed seems to have improved....wouldnt have thought it would..

It will probably be a bit louder cause the air will reverberate in the box more as there is more space. I've also removed the restrictor pipe on the lid of my airbox (above the filter).
