Alright guys, i've got a GLS 1.2 16v S reg, would astra calipers and disks fit straight on to mine? does it not matter that they are solid disks at moment cause i'd be changing calipers aswell?

i got black diamond combi (drilled and groved) discs with preditor pads and the astra calipers, good job, and looks the biz, especially on the back with me rear disc conversion.

yes the Astra setup is your best bet,

if you wanna go one step further with aftermarket disc's then get cross-drilled disc's as these dissapate heat better

grooved disc's are no use to you unless you like going thru brake pads every 3mths. grooved discs are really only useful for track use

i agree with miles, for less money you can have much better brakes. £60 they go for on migweb with new pads and discs plus calipers, straight fit too.

For the cost of the 'performace' disks, get some of the 2.0 16v astra gte style calipers, then buy new standard pads and disks. Braking will be much better with this set up than with just some 'performance' disks.

Getting some new brake discs and wondering which to go for, drilled, grooved or drilled and grooved which would be best?

Also could any1 recommend any brand to go for or any good deals you know of

cheers, Luke
