You didnt need to rub all the paint off. If you've got a good finish the first time, you can use something like 800 grit paper, and put a key in the surface of the paint to give the new paint something to "hold onto" as such.

Saying this, i only found out after id totally rubbed down my DTM mirros and re-painted them :| :lol:

yes rub it down again till ALL the paint has gone, then add 1 or 2 coats of platic prima, paint and lacquer

ive just re-rubbed mine down again, its a fuckin bitch but thats cos i had like 8-9 coats of paint down lol

Hi Peeps

I got silver interior, and i mite change it to the colour of my car now, but is it possible to sand down the bits and respray and laquer them??? or iam i tottaly stuck on this one and got to buy new bits????

need help on this guys?? i think u can sand them down and respray them for sure???
