clean it up and find the exact location of the leak - had one o nmien for a while - replaced the rocker cover gasket myself - piss easy 5 mins job, Ive blown head gasket about 6 weeks ago so had thta reapired pro - but still go the leak - nehow its turned out to be the seal on the distributor cap which is slowly leaking oil down onto the head block - and its costing about 27p to repair

old 8vs always get oily around head gasket..... your car use a lot of water??

compression test it to be sure.

as for seat belt that will prob be a fooked tensioner - replace everything on belt as its pretty damn important. dont wanna be flying through windscreen if u crash do u??

and head gasket on 8v is piece of piss

looking at £250 garage bill though....

I know. I was advising that you have a stab at changing the head gasket yourself. Most engine work is really simple, its just a confidence thing!

try some GUNK spray on engine degreaser first. spray it on and clean allthe excess oil off.

drive around as normal for a few days and check it again to see if oil is back.

It sounds to me like it could just be the rocker cover gasket, but i'm not too sure
