there is no wire on the auto leads lead for this thats why u have to cut it behind the plug! coz it aint a standard lead and has no control over the mfd

but obviously that goes into the autolead which then connects to ur stereo. so cant u trace it from the dash plug, to the autoloead? u get my drift?

it isnt on the auto lead its in the lead thats built it to the dash what u plug into. just cut it a couple ov cm down so u can allways reconnect with a connector its on hard

u have to change the red and yellow wires around so that its allways got a little bit ov power so it keeps its memory all head units are like this

That is a good answer. It did beep to tell me that I left the front panel on when I turned the ignition off so I took it off and it still run the battery down.

I dont think i would have run it down. I only played a few tracks of a cd to make sure it was all working correctly. I've charged the battery up fully now and I'll have to test it and if it does drain my battery again i'll have to put up with not saving radio station, etc. I've got the Sony CDX MP40.

You could have drained it while using it after you installed it, did u try starting it after installation? It happened to me with my CDXMP70, the standard battery was due for a change.

I have just got a Sony headunit and I swapped it over with the original that was in my car. All was well, it was working brilliantly but then the following morning I went to start the car and the battery was dead. |
