ive used the original door pocket and fibreglassed the end to give the moulded in effect for the speaker.

So just screwed the original door pocket in its original holes.

hope this helps

corsa mel, you door builds look similar to how im going to do mine, except im using 6.5 components.

how is the door bin screwed into the car?

all done to personal preference init..

sq nutt = a person that can tell the difference in SQ from using different wire for example.. :D well in my book it is ;)

Im a nut and im into sq big stylee but in not an sq nut. Nah I cant see any problems putting a 6x9 upfront Mel, personally i prefer round woofers as rule but i was advising people not to 'mix' sizes. Your 'builds' are smart Mel.

I agree.. but also quality comps = ££££££££

I had my 6x9s and i'm happy with the sound thus ive experimented putting them up front for a better sound stage.

Depends on whether ur a SQ nutt as well though.

Cheers fella... Too many people think more is better, rubbish! If only they got some power down on some decent kit they would realise. For ME less IS better...

Dont bother fitting allsorts in ya doors, it will sound shite! You want a QUALITY set of 6.5" components and make sure you amp them well.

I've sound-deadened one door and i can't hear it vibrating at all.

Depends if ur a top SQ head or not really.

No point putting 6x9's in the front doors - the vibration will make the doors rattle, the tweeters on them are too low down, and 6x9's in my opinion are there simply to make noise - if you want quality and you do! - then get components like Corb says :)
