Right, as some of you know, the Puntos gone leaving me a lovely 4400 dollars to add to my savings. The search for a GSi is on and I'll be purchasing one any time.
Everything for Project C is set (incase you didn't know, Project C is to do a Corsa LET) but I'm not sure on the suspension. I want input on your experiences with different spring and damper combinations weather it be for a 2.0l Corsa or not.
My initial plan was simply to buy the Courtenay 2.0l suspension kit but since I've found that this kit only lowers by 20mm and the front springs are only 160lb - abit more comfort than performance me thinks.
I've since been intouch with Regal, Regal do a set of springs for the Corsa 2.0l that drop 40mm and are rated at 240lb - these are more to my liking. The guy at Regal suggested these springs with Koni adjustables and -60mm Pi rear springs all for £400. The budget Pi springs put me off this set up. I've also been intouch with Renton (from Redline) as he used to have a pretty awsome Gsi (151Bhp), this GSi was a track day car more than anything and Renton had tried lots of different dampers and springs. The ones he found best (by far - his words) were Bilstein dampers (sprintline, non adjustable - Bilstein yellows) with -60mm Eibach springs on the rear and -50/40mm Jamex front springs. I'm sure this set up would be awsome with the Regal 2.0l springs replacing the Jamex fronts but all in all its a tad expensive.
Your views please? whats good and whats not? price is a big factor but I'd rather have quality than shit :)
Cheers
