ive got a PVD open air filter and it works perfectly. also know lots of people with open K&N air filters etc and they are fine as well.

Thanks luca, wher is that guide in teh FAQ?

My question was, by drilling the airbox, do you get a better performance at low rpms, or the engine runs more smothly, or ....?

no it is not the same as fitting a K&N filter

but they do go well with eachother

drilling the air box increases the air flow whilst maintaining a relatively cold air flow as the air box acts as a heat shield from the engine (this is why u drill holes on the wing side)

the filter goes inside the air box to filter the air

theirs a guide in the guide section

Excuse my ignorance, but what do I need to drill the airbox for?
Is it the same as fitting K&N air filter, how much is the filter?

Thanks
