with 2000RMS of power, to get the most from it ur gonna need.

1.Uprated Alternater.
2.Upgrade the big 3.
3.Split charge system.
4.Optima yellow top/Exide 900DC
5.Power cap to smooth it all out.

xhale, shut up. The vibe VP4 is a good amp. It did have a problem before where the centre of the circuit board would crack, but it was sorted.

Quick note, large capacitances are often hard to come by. Using two smaller ones in parallel (the values simply add) will give you a large distributed capacitance with half the ESR of a larger cap.

Stuart

P.S. ESR is equivalent series resistance. the lower, the better.

what amps are you gonna use, you can get caps at some silly ratings, like 300farad or something stupid

i dont think u will find a 4 farad cap.

For a setup like that, i think you'd be better off getting an Optima yellow top in the boot and a split charging system.

ok so im planing runing two 1000watt L7 15" kicker subs. have bn recommended a 2farad cap. is this ok . or should i look for a 4farad 1

thats the farad rating.

Most caps are 1 farad. The higher the capacitance, the more energy it can store.

I read somewhere that 1 farad per 500WRMS is ideal.
