ok cheers bud, ive figured it out neway. piece o cake, saves messin around tryin to find cable operated ones which r like rockin horse shite these days!

red plack = signal
Black = 12v
Brown = earth
Pin 25 for the signal wire also goes to ur mfd and pos to fuse 21 and brown to earth

is anyone willing to take a pic of the plug for the dash or tell me the colours of the wires and in which order they go in. im plannin on convertin my cable driven ('96 LS) to one with one from an sri which is electronic, i reckon it shud be quite simple to get a sender off the gearbox and wire it into the plug on the bak of the dash, i just need to know where to put them in the plug.
Any help much appreciated
