I got 1 the other day for £35 + vat(£42) from vaux then went an bought an e10 socket from halfords for £2!
Had to jack me car up to replace it as mines -40mm!
Was well tight in the bracket but a set of mole grips did the trick!

Crank sensor is used for rpm only i thought.
Would of thought a gearbox sensor would of been used for speed!

I've had similar... when accelerating hard, and then brake hard, the engine stalls, or it did do, had the car a yr now, n it's only done it a handful of times, never did it with my old corsa c. Infact, it's not done it for quite a while, and vauxhall didn't find a prob whilst they were servicing it.

yea I know...I've done it now...it'll keep doing it morrow :o

I was out in my car 2nite and i was doing about 70mph and the speedo dropped to 0mph for about a minute, i then slowed down to about 30mph and the speedo went back up and then the engine cut out and the dash lights came on, this is very dangerous for me, i dont want my engine to cut out when im going fast cuz the brakes wont work

The speedo goes up and down now and again

Ive got a cat2 immobiliser fitted, i dunno if its got something to do with that, as i had trouble with my last cars engine cutting out due to dodgy wiring on the immobiliser

Ive got a corsa sport 1.4 16v
