M-Box n Velos tube only fit the 1.4 1and 1.6 16v lumps.

They bin all the restrictive inlet manifold system and provide a straight air ffed the the head. Similar to Throttle bodies, but air still goes in thru the airbox/ind kit, into the boxs, then down the manifolds into the head.

i had the sri 1.4 8v with zorst and induction kit, i got a Schrick (spelling?) cam (270 degree lift, fast road) for it, and i was pleased with the results. Paid £170 for the cam and £35 to get it fitted. I have also rung Liverpool Victoria insurance who told me they write down any mods, but they dont affect your premium, so if you are a young drive like me (18/19) then it might be worth a try. Im thinking about a chip and exhaust manifold next, but also considering a conversion in a couple of years. Hope that helped! Matt

u shud be able to stick with ur vtr mate to about 50 or 60 then he will just do u on top end.
i busted my engine on my sri whilst racing my mate in 106 1.4 xsi, similar performance to a vtr, he just pulled away at about 70.
The sri has 84 lbs/ft of tourque, whereas my mates xsi had 88. There is not much difference, but my point is that the corsa is too heavy, so u will always have a weight disadvantage on a TIN CAN saxo, so maybe save-up and get engine conversion, but can u afford the insurance?? (not likely) also the corsa will be even heavier and handle like a SHIP.
Bloody gay frenchie cars.

1.6 bottom end will see it a bit extra power, but the compression will shoot up, as it did on mine, but mine was a tad more special then just a 1.6 bottom end. till the pistons melted that is :(

Will these still work with 8v though?

Ya can put a mantzel powerbox or velos torque tube on it. That adds around 25% so they say...bout 20 bhp

Not worth it. bu anyway.

U'll need a set of twin carbs, head work, and a fast road cam, exhaust manifold. U MIGHT see around 110-120bhp. But still looking at around £1k at least!!!!!

Easier and cheaper to bung a new engine in.

If not, ask on Mig.

what can i do to my sri 8valve to give me a nice big power gain so i can beat me mate in his vtr!
i have a cat back exhaust with quad exit and a k&n at the moment. i was thinking of maybe an uprated cam? how much power would i gain from this and how much are the parts and fitting?
what else can i do to it to get me over 120bhp?:boggle:
