yeah i got a cable operated solenoid, and i have the same problem of trying to find a good place to mount it, its mounted in a really bad positon which doesnt seem stong enuff to pull the catch, thats why i wanna put a central locking motor in its place because it seems i could mount it better, because the release catch pops the boots where its pushed downwards. | |

alright gents i'v just had the wiper and lock removed from the tailgate, and i have installed the solenoid from autoeurope.co.uk, but the problem is it's not powerful enuff to pull the lock to pop the boot, i have drilled a small hole at the bottom of the release arm, which i think is the problem, so those of u with a solenoid boot release, could u help me out, and could u pls tell me which kit u have and where u got it from??? |
