which part of my pic is the solenoid?

I'd put it down to a dodgy solonoid then mate. Just check that the door pin and lock rods are both connected to thte solonoid first though :)

BTW that blue and brown wire is for the tweeters

If it helps ive got two central locking solenoids i'm willing to sell - come complete with door locking mechanism and the lock-rods things that appear at the top of the door.

Got both sides, mint contidition.

I think that wire will be for tweeters mate. Wont be for electric windows, as yours wont have the loom ofr em, and so wont have the wiring in the door for them either.

Theres also a little microswitch on the back of the lock barrel. Just check that is still connected and is working right. You should be able to press it in with your fingers, and all the locks will lock :)

the bar is on both doors, they run from the solenoid to the door pin rod.

move it up and down and see it theres any play, stiffness in each one.

wd40 both and open close doors about 20 times.

get a volt tester on the stray wire you said you found and then see if theres a spare one on the other door?

it may just be a earth or something worked loose.

im off to bed now so good luck.

u sed follow the bar from the lock to am lookin on the left side of the door?

they after markets or corsa standard?

after markets are huge. normally green and have a hunge bar running to the door lock.

standard jobbies are a lil smaller i think and have a bar going to the lock. follow the bar from the lock to find the solenoid.

the wires.... well.... good luck there i aint a clue. new ones from vaux... about 30-40 i think.

these hard to remove?
mite pop to the scrappies

right inside the door can see the wires n shit but i dunno what to look out for well what the solenoid looks like

wd40.
try that if not then you need a new solenoid as that ones up the duff.

if it cant get the power to pull down it wont and the other cant pull down because it would throw sync out.

it will push however because its easy for it to do then pull down.

if you get my drift.

take the door cards off and have a look at the rods that lock/unlock the doors.
earth wires okay?
solinoids work okay?

mine went up the buggery last week, turned out it was a dodgy rod that slipped off.

Havent fitted them, but can imagine it to be a right apin in the ass to re-fit the solonoids.

Is it the solonoids, or the Central locking "brain"?
