Where did you go that told you that kinda shit.

The info you need is this -
17 inch wheels
ET45 or as close as possible, you dont want above that really for 17's or you get rubbing on the shocks.
205/40/17 tyres
If you get ET45 or close to a reasonable drop is 40mm, you could go 60 if you were up for debolting the rear arches and maybe a little more work.

and with a 1.012v u can lower more than 40mm on the front because it'l sit high due to the lightweight 3cyl block...

17's with 205/40/17 tyres are a piece of piss! Just look how many Corsas there are around with this set up!

Case sorted! :)

people just talk bullshit, 17's r becoming fairly standard on modded corsas now.

standard tyres on 17's r 205 45 17, any olower profile and ur talkin more cash, lowering 40mm is perfectly acceptable and wont cause any probs .. if u want 2 people in the back remove the bolts from ur arches startin with the right rear arch(causes most probs)

right, i am getting some new alloys and went today looking, i got told by nearly all the places i went to that, "in the book it claims 16" are the biggest that will fit". but loads of ppl have 17's! 1 place told me 17" would go on with certain tyres but i would need arch work to drop it. Its a corsa B 1.0 12v. can someone please clear this up for me? what will fit with no work and allow me to drop it? thanks a lot
