dont just cut the ciggy light off and wire in other wise you will blow the neons and leave a nisty shards of glass all over!! you have to fuse the line some where! have to find the ampage of the neons (on box) and put a fuse in to sute! a on off switch in the line is also a good thing to have :D

you should be careful if you cut off the ciggy lighter end of the neon if u did do it, as ive found alot of neons have the starter in the ciggy unit.

Thats a good idea, i can put it where i want so i will be out of the way, nothing worst than untidy wires! Cheers guys help much appreciated!

why not run a multi fag lighter from your battery anyway.
then add the neon to that.

Running neon.
if your driving round with it any way you will be charging the batt off the alternator.
if you hav you neon on when not driving.. it will run your batter down like leaving lights on!

So i can just chop the ciggy adapter off the end and wire it up too battery, thank god for that, its been pissin me off 4 ages cos i didnt think i could do anything! How much are you allowed to run off standard battery safely cos my amp is already running off it.

any 12v source, even interior light.....or wire through the gromet directly onto the battery.

Right then, ive got a 1.2 8v 96P reg Vegas which for some unknown reason doesnt have a frigging ciggy lighter! Im not sure if all vegas models are the same but this is real annoying cos i dont think i can have interior neons. Is there another way of running them apart from ciggy lighter, all the ones i have seen use it.
