I know you have to disconnect the fuel pipes & plug. | |

When I changed mine I clamped of the fuel lines with brake line clamps the petrol only comes out of the inlet pipe which is the right side pipe looking from the front seats back. you also need to disconnect the negative on the battery and the fuel pump relay. | |

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. If you can get to the top of the tank, it just pulls out, but like darryl said, fuel lines must be disconnected or it will piss everywhere. | |

No, Haynes says you must first disconnect the fuel lines and the Fuel Gauge connections first | |
