Well balancing and lighteneing (dynamic balancing) but they may do that if its a speed shop / engine recon place.

Are they overboaring the engine to fit the next size up piston...? if the bores are worn...no sure if you can overbore a corsa engine like he old mini engines ???

on the old mini 1275 a 20 thou overbore to fit new pistons and get a nice new bore gave you 1293cc...

Not sure what the routine is on a modern engine.

A modified head ???? better ports and valve shape ????

ive sent my engine away (corsa gsi x16xe) for a full rebuild/recondition. what mods are worth doing while its out?
