Wolf...

So what would be the best way of getting in there to get it, what big things am i looking at removing?

And from that picture it would indicate that look into the engine bay from the front of the car... its on the right hand side. Is that correct?

thanks

Power boxes go on to the top of the lower inlet manifold (the bit shown).
You can get inlet manifolds to replace this as well though like velos'
Think the lexmaull may also replace the bottom bit but aint sure!
Only probs i know of disconnecting it is that your ECU light may come on ocassionaly.

is there any problem in blocking it off?

if its bolted straight onto the inlet manifold, does that mean when you put something like the mantzel power box on, the EGR is discarded ?

EGR valve bolts on to the inlet manifold where highlighted below.

Has a 5pin electrical connector and is a black cylinder with alloy mounting plate.

Hey there,

I'm having trouble with the EGR valve on my GSi 97' 1.6lt barina... and I appreciate some help in locating it in the engine bay, so i can remove it and place a gasket on it to block it off. I figured there are some people here that have done an engine switch would know where it was, and what i have to undo to get to it. Perhaps even a pic of the valve so i know what i am looking for (im new to all the mechanics stuffs, thanks for bearing with me).

Thanks for any help you can give me
