I've got a Corsa C SXI project car, it's a pre-facelift one with the Z12XE in it.

I know loads of people have done a 1.2 > 1.8 conversion, and it seems relatively straightforward for facelift models with the Z12XEP engine. But, does anyone know if it's as simple with the pre-facelift Z12XE?

My question is more to do with the wiring side of things than anything else.

Also, side question - can I use the same 5-speed box from the 1.2 on the 1.8, or are they different gearboxes? And has anyone ever attempted to put a 6-speed box on a 1.8 like the F40 or M32? I do miss using 6th gear for motorway cruising! :lol:
