and you can feel 5bhp change mate? your car's power is different on a hot day compared to a cold day, can you feel the bhp change then? 5bhp is bugger all mate.

a nova 1.6 8v engine was a strong engine that was very tunable. a 1.2 8v (especially if it is a ecopoo block) is not made for tuning and is crap.

you can tune a 1.2 8v gm engine as much as you want and a 1.6 8v engine will still beat it

the gains on a 8v gte....... says it all
gte is fast anyway 1.2 16v er isnt
16v 1.2 0r 8v gte 8v is old engine design and will respond to airbox mods 16v is harder to tune you will be lucky to have gaind 2bhp at best

why do the 1.2 16v and 1.0 engines rev so slowly in comparison to the 1.4 and 1.6?

5 or 6 BHP increase from drilling you're air box, Bullsh|t, you might get 1 if you're lucky, you might loose 5Bhp if you're not. And if you don't like the noise of a car like that why did you drill it?
