If its for a converted car if the ecu isn't immobilised it doesn't matter as the chip is coded to cars original ecu

I thought it had to match the ecu and transponder on the barrel. Not 100% on that.

I think there are companies that can come and code new ones or get a new chip from Vauxhall for 70ish

Bit of a pickle, iv lost the little chip in the key. Now do I need that?

Is it programed to the car or the engine ecu?

Cheers
