dont take the nut all the way off, this will stop the wheel knocking you out. hold the wheel at 9 oclock and 3 oclock and just stand on the floor and yank the bugger as hard as possible , you might want to move your seat back for a bit more room.

YANK IT!!!!

LOL
easiest option is to go to a garage with the other wheel etc, and its a 5 second job with the right tool, as miles said be very careful with the column, it has a perforated section that is designed to colapse in and accident and not make your chest colapse when you hit the wheel.

They are evil to get off, as said you can get steering wheel pullers.

Becarefully with whacking the centre of it whilst pulling because they are designed to colapse under impact!

Basically need lots of pully, you'll probably burtst a gonad, so be prepared.

U meant to have a tool that pushing it off, looks like a tripod with a bolt in the middle, if u ain't got one, then u just have to shake, pull, twist, bang, thump, and swear at it, until it comes off!

i'v just got my wheel boss about a hour ago and i'v tried to fit it, i'v undone the 22mm bolt and now the damn wheel wont come off! i'v heard the o/e wheel is quite hard to take off, and its the 2 spoke wheel w/o airbag, so if anyone knows of a way to take the steering wheel that would be great,

cheers folks...:boggle:
