the kenwood 4042 eq (tiny) (u could, if u wanted to fit 4 of em in a normal radio cut out in the dash) is a 5 band eq with sub out these are around £140 with the bigger brother 6042 just over £200 the bigger of the 2 has a 9 band eq with sub out 'and' parmetric (helps to compensate for different interior noise and stuff, it's a bit involved) if ur looking for an eq thats sits in the boot then this will get expensive, but u will get some great results and ur gona need some proper amps too. ;)

Just buy a Powercap and a bigger battery, no point in EQ's. Or buy a powercap and a basscube to fit inline with the amp running the Sub.

dont bother with the eq. your system doesnt need it. they put too much strain on the amp in my opinion

the vibe 1 farad cap is tidy:

if u get the maplins cap you would then have £200 - £250 to spend on an EQ, but tbh that still isnt enough for a decent EQ.

hey peeps
at the moment i have a panasonic md player
components up front
6"coxioal (spelling) on the shelf and
a sub in the boot.
i have 2 amps one for the sub one for the components.

i'm thinking of upgrading the sub amp for a mono block, i want to use the sub amp for my components cos theres more power.

to acheive a better SQ im thinkin of getting an EQ and a power cap.

i've seen an EQ, its the mac audio one in the latest fast car. does anyone know if its any good?

can anyone reccommend a decent EQ and power cap for aaround £150(each)?

thanks for the help in advance
cheers
