Diggidy..............I am sure the exhaust is fitted correctly. I am sure the drop is near enough bang on 60mm. I am sure that there is actually nothing wrong with anything, its just the fact that with that drop then it hits over certain speed bumps, not all just certain types. The ones I mean are those like the pyramids with the tops cut flat. Always catches.

Are you sure your exhust has been fitted correctly???

you would have to lower the car about 100 mm or more for that to happen...

I've got a 60mm drop on mine and have more than enough clearance...

sound a bit suspect to me....

the legal side of the arguament is that if a car is fitted with a CAT then it MUST still have that fitted whether or not it would pass an emissions test or not. And if the Vehicle Inspectorate catch you at the side of the road with one of there mobile testing stations and you have no cat, and fail the test, then you may get fined, and your car impounded until put legal again.
But the chances of that happening are slim, so go get one.....lol

U worry too much, i just got one and just gonna see what happens, doubt the police r gonna look under the car and notice, doubt they will be bothered, and i friendly with the MOT bloke so i won't ave to swap it back..

Since lowering my car I have come over a certain problem, my CAT only sits about 2 inch from the floor causing major problems with speed bumps.

I have been considering a de-cat pipe for a while as it should give me a little more power, a bit more noise and sort out my clearance problems on speed bumps.

The thing is I dont know much about the legalities, I know it wont pass an MOT but I can get around that by swopping it over come MOT time, shouldnt be too big of a job. But if I were to get pulled over at the side of the road by the police and they ran a road side emmisions test it would fail........would I get points on my licence/fined/let off and told to retest it??

Cheers for the help,
Sean.
