ur a better aerial than ur aerial lol. Its possible the amplifier for your aerial has blown or that your phillips radio is just very very shit

iv only got like an 80quid phillips radio but it gets really shit reception, iv tried a new antena bit but still shit. when you turn it on its forever searching and then doesnt find particuly good signal but if you move your hand towards it then signal goes brilliant then crap when you move your hand away again?isit just a bad earth or something? anyone got any ideas? cheers j
