No won't need nothing behind it, make sure the hole you drill is smaller than the scre though. Its just a guide for the screw, you need to leave something for it to bite into. A 1/8 drill bit would be good.

Ok, so once drilled some holes the self tapping screws should just screw in tightly? Wont need anything behind or such to hold the screw in?

New holes along the edge of them bumper.

Just bought these mudflaps, un-sure on how to fit them correctly though.

They come with self tapping screws but where on the bumper do they screw into? The original holes from the old mudflaps? Or will I have to make some new holes myself?
