Take it right out and stick it in a vice,takes longer but when your knuckles are bleeding and you have crap in your eyes you will know why :facepalm: | |

but the cv's may be goosed on another spare shaft.. | |

See if you can pick up a spare shaft so you can replace the boots on that and then it's a straight swap, no worries about it going wrong leaving you without a car :) | |

ideally got to strip front end of take the complete knuckle/brakes out unbolt strut from car etc.. | |

One of the jobs I hate doing the most on a car. Having to strip the whole front end to put on a stupid bit of rubber. | |
