God knows how you bent it then  I get the ring from the bearing glowing cherry red them smack it with a big chisel and it usually drops off pretty easy then! I've even melted the ring off a few with no other damage to the hub!

The metal goes blue when your just about to grind through it into your spindle/hub lol

My method at work is,
Grind a flat on it till it goes blue, tap it with a hammer and it splits and you can pull it of with your hand,

Works on 30k spindles so should surfice on your hub

You'd be better off taking it to a garage and they'll fit the bearings for some cash. Saves you damaging the hubs etc.

You come make a thread, don't take advice, and see what happens

Well tried getting it glowing red today and smacked it with a hammer, wasn't the best idea as I bent the hub :lol:

Similar to that without that bit on the top and the bottom bit is straight on the claws so fits in also had to put a socket in the middle were the shaft goes througt for something for it to pull against

What kind of puller? I have a steering wheel puller here

john_redtop

I had the same problem had to knock a chissel between the hub and the bit that's left to create a gap then use a puller

Stripped the car down today to change the wheel bearing as theres only so much of that annoying noise I can take :lmao:

Heres the hub/strut assembly.

When I split the hub to remove the bearing I was greeted with this, part of the bearing has broke in half and is stuck on the hub, how the hell am I going to get that off?
