i was going to use a jig, but would have ended up scratching the paint on the bonnet where the guide of the jigsaw rubs | |

Use a jigsaw not an angle grinder. Cleaner, more accurate cut | |

two holes using a hole saw then cut the rest out with an angle grinder | |
