Does the 1.2 8v have an electronic distributor?
If not, it might be worth checking to see if the distributor cap is sealing properly if it gets damp inside the car will splutter / cutout etc..
Also check the contacts on the inside of the distributor cap and rotor arm.

hello,

i havnt posted on here for a while, new car in the pipeline however my corsa has a problem at the moment.

when i start the car in the morning only when wet it judders or nearly stalls like there is not enough spark to turn the engine. i have changed the plugs and the battery is fine because the stereo is still fully working. i am stuck.

one thing that it could be is that i havnt cleaned my air filter for about 50k miles it si a k&N57i. could this cause the proble with not enough air getting to the engine?

please help im stuck...

thanks very much in advance for any help ;)
