Could of been a dodgey replacement sensor. Pain in the arse but it does happen

Either that or a loom problem somewhere along the lines. Try traceing the wires back?

I know it sounds daft mate but have you replaced the crankshaft sensor by accident?

Sounds silly but could of easily be done

Aye aye. Was wondering if someone could help me out a bit.

Got a V reg 99 corsa 1.6 16v.

Engine management light is on..... Surprise surprise. Coming up with code P0340 camshaft sensor. I have replaced the cam sensor and cleared the codes. Still on and car still has its little misfire/hesitation at random points. Seems to get better as ye car warms up. I have checked the wiring and can't see anything obvious wrong. I was looking to find a way of testing voltages or resistance in both the loom and the sensor but can't find any information on this.

If anyone can help it would e greatly appreciated.

Mike
