mine was struggling into 1st and 5th once mark, i just set up the linkage and its fine now. no money needed... check out the thread in tutorials, pretty easy d.i.y fix

Got them both from Autovaux Mark.

its pretty simple really. just remove the linkage, push the rubber bushes out then persuade the nylon ones in with a small hammer then re fit the linkage. maybe just re aligning it for the gears may be tricky.

Can these be fit to a 1.0 too? is it a diy job? or would i be better getting someone else to do it?
i had the gearlinkage changed lastyear as it fell apart on me while driving which was nice!

So just the nylon bushes from LMF then?

Don't think you could buy the bushes from Vauxhall.

he fitted the nylon middle ones and gm outer ones IIRC, just changing them for new ones makes a big difference in itself feels so much nicer

Its been playing up a while now reece and the garage did adjust it about a year ago and made it a bit better & they said itwill probably need changing soon but it's started again now :( and a standard genuine one from vaux is £120

Do i need one of these too?

could it not need adjusting? and when you buy short shift they come with bushes so might be easier and if want just bushes go to ebay or people have said lmf?

Can they be bought?i was thinking of upgrading my linkage to a short shift linkage because my current standard linkage isnt the best,i seem to be struggle to get 1st gear lately its take a bit force sometimes to get it in.

So if i was to get the short shifter where do i get the bushes from to fit them?
