u can buy an adaptor that goes from speaker cable into an rca ,so buy a four channel amp, 1 rca cable(low input) and run a channel each for the rear speakers and bridge the other 2 to power the sub up with.put the adaptor into the rear speaker wires.

some amps have high level inputs that you can take from the rear speakers

my mate wants to install an amp into his ford
but wants to keep the factory head unit
he wants to run a sub so is it right that we take it off the rear speakers?
does this mean his rear speakers wont work...anyone know how to do it.
