all you need to do is disconnect the sender unit from the gear box and put the drill on2 the speedo cable.WARNING dont use the drill to fast because your dials will expload!

Makes no difference if they are mechanical or electrical. The mileage can be altered on both.

What year is your car? year of the car you got the dials from?

it is electrical i think.... it has a motor to turn the numbers. There is no retaining clip on the rev counter one...it is transparent plastic with just a hole on each side for the spindles that change the mileage.

Easiest option might be to swap the actual counter over from one dash to the other if your worried about turning the numbers around.

aslong as its not an electronnically controlled one, then you cant.

you undo the retaining pin, pull it out with pliers, flip the numbers accordingly then replace the pin. very easy.

I am sure when you actually have the dash out you can run the clock backwards, dunno though to be honest.

I want to clock my speedo as my engine/car has only done 34772 miles, as said on old clock....but just got a new dash with rev. counter and it states 65700 something. I wanna cahnge the new clocks so they reflect the real mileage on the car....not almost double what it has done! |
