Thats them the foam is very sticky doesnt peel of very well, think there is some slack on the aerial cables down the side pillar just have to un clip them. Then you can pull them out where the aerial base is.

I maybe getting the roof painted and the body shop the aerial base will have to be removed.

Il do the perished seal that way if i dont get the roof painted but i need to remove it for painting i need to know where it unplugs from.

Looking this picture i think i can see where it unplugs from.

The two connections are to the L/H side of the aerial inside the steel framework, mine were covered in a foam material & ty wrapped in place. Abit awkward but can be done.

I've never looked under the roof lining myself before, but if its the same as that picture I'd just loosen more of the lining to get a better and closer look.

I replaced mine, bought this..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Astra-Corsa-Meriva-Roof-Aerial-Rubber-Gasket-Seal-/400112150054?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d288ae626

And used a very small precision flat head screwdriver to tuck the edges under. Didn't have to fiddle about completely taking the aerial apart.

Slips over and fits like a glove.

Managed to get the pillar trim and headlineing undone enough to loosen the nut but my question is where abouts does the wiring unplug so the base can be removed?
