I Have a 1999 T reg sxi. They already have an imobiliser built into the key in the form of a transponder that comunicates with the ecu. No transponder key, no ecu, no go anywhere. If your not sure about yours, open the key (assuming its the type with the light) and look in the corner for a tiny black chip. If its got one its imobilised. And if you dont belive me just try and start the car without it!! lol.

quote: I have an aftermarket immobiliser on my SXi (T-plate). It hasn't caused any problems, and it's been fitted about a year. [Edited on 25-04-2003 by Alan MacAulay]

Its a V (2000) model. I don't know if having two immobilisers will mess things up, or if it doesn't really matter?
