I WIRED MY FOOTWELL NEONS DIRECT TO THE BATTERY AND PUT A SWITCH IN THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.

today i bought a little neon 4 my footwell, its got a crappy cig lighter ion the end, can i somehow cut it off and wire it up somewhere else, does it matter that the cig lighter bit has a switch on it?
