Was £29.50 for diagnostics in vaux then £42 for sensor fitted. Car is now runnning sweet
again....
Was over fueling ans flooding plugs so making it difficult to start aswell.
Revs would drop to 300 then up to 3000 on their own..:!

if its the throttle position sensor its a bitch to fit on a gsi, need to remove inlet manifold, starter motor throttle body its a nightmare, i got the low voltage thing too

the idle valve is on the throttle body, mie is playing up this is weird, depending on model i got a GSI you can just about change it without much hassle

What engine is it?

Take off the idle valve and give it a good dousing with carb cleaner and then oil it and replace.

Idle control valve... renound for fucking up ALL the time. Mines on its way out, has been for some time. They are £50-£70 depending on model from Vauxhall and not many other people sell them as they are Vauxhall specific part. Piece of pissh to fit, 3 bolts and then disconnect the battery overnight to reset the ECU.

check the pipes leading to the rocket cover coz they get blocked up with crap...
had lots in my pipes and cleaned thm out- car was much better until now (another problem has occured with mine).

ALSO check the pipes leading to the map sensor and the fuel pump regulator... theses get wore over time and split. BAD news coz these pipes are meant to be vacuum tight. change them for new ones if they look like shite.

thats all i can recommend for ya.

particurly when its cold, the car idle's really high, and when your in a high end gear and the revs drop down the car begings to judder, anyone else experience this or can help me with it?

I think it could be the throttle body switch? i took it to a dealer sometime ago who plugged something into it and he said theres low voltage going to the throttle body sensor.
