ahhh sweet shud be ok then, i'd advise the engines removed to make it easier, but im sure it could be done just by lowering the engine!

Currently a 1.4 16v. Thinking about doing the c20xe in the summer. prob to save abit of money for now & put in a f20 2 start with, f28 is the better box to have i here, so was wondering how hard it would be to fit at a later stage really.

well if your car is currently an 8v, an F28 cant be fitted unless you get a custom mount made up for the gearbox as the 8v has different chassis legs than the 16v.
Removing the gearbox aint easy though, the engine would need to be lowered to remove the box, but for better access, completely removed as a single unit.

Cool. :)
Reason i was wondering, if i do the old 2ltr & stick a F20 in for now, how much work would it be to swap in a F28 later on.

I dont have my hanyes manual at the moment, so just quickly -

How easy is it to remove/refit a gearbox on a corsa? Is it an engine out job or what?

Cheers:)
