oh man, i dont get this!
i was told by a garage that using a Fully synthetic oil will actually get rid of the tapping/clicking noise!
the cars done about 75k and its overall in pretty good condition.
Does anyone know what the best high performance oil for a 1994 Corsa Gsi is???

Thanks:boggle:

If its comming from around the head could be a rocker gasket needs replacing? Also never put fully sythetic in as its way to thin and the car will become tapety!

good luck mate

semi synthetic is what you need really? is the engine high milleage? If it is a thicker oil may be needed

Clean the engine with a degreaser so you can see where the leak is coming from!

A dead head gasket wont leak oil whilst the engine is off as there will be no pressure in the oil system.

Keep a close eye on your oil level and see if the problem gets worse. It shouldn't do any harm if its only small and you keep your oil topped up.

It could be that there is a fault in the oil system somewhere that has reduced the oil pressure so that the oil isn't getting to the top of the engine. In which case get it fixed asap.

Try taking the oil filer cap off whilst the engine is running, if no oil is chucked out it could indicate that little oil is reaching the top end.

AC Delco is perfect stuff for Vauxhall engines.

the oil might be a wee bit thin, I'd stick with what vauxhall recommend
