It did say about that in the Haynes. Is it necessary to do as much as they say? I was under the impression that you could just take the linkage part out from under the bonnet.

Had the bonnet up the other day and seems fairly easy to get to. End behind the engine won't be quite as easy, but should be alright. Ordered a new metal one tonight :) Along with a shedload of bulbs

Yea its relatively easy to do if your mechanically minded. Not to difficult. Garage wouldn't charge much mind to fit that for you though.

it's not too hard to get to on a B Dave so can't imagine it being too difficult on a C either :) you might want the front up in the air so you can get underneath though

I know that there is some plastic part on the Corsa C gear linkage that wears out and makes gears hard to select, and I think mine is starting to wear out. Thing is, I don't know exactly what part it is and how hard it is for me to replace myself. Ideally I'd like to replace it myself as I could do without the expense of booking it in down the garage again. |
