Mmm, but why would the electric then go funny?

Mine used to do shit like this, cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner would sort it out for a bit.

Right, bit more info.

It cut out whilst driving also.
Says all the dash lights came on, speedo and revo went to the max, then back down.

Harness easy to replace?

Need some help guys.

Got a friend who has a C SXI 1.2 but has a starting issue. Every now and again, when he has been out driving, then stopped to go into a shop, the car will not restart.

He had the issue before and took it to Vauxhall who replaced the ECU as apparently this was at fault.

Now the same thing is happening, Vauxhall have said it is the cable harness needs replacing for £600.

I think something is not right, anyone shed any light on it?
I would like to get it fixed for him so any suggestions????? :)

Also I am awaiting more details of any fault lights etc.
